I have decided for many reasons to transition my shop into a digital product shop. This is a little hard, I am still really an old school paper girl, I will have a bookbound 2024 planner. Anyway! This last year, all of 2023, I bought no stickers and planner supplies outside of my 2023 Hobonichi Cousin.
For an entire year I used what I had acumulated just from the 3+ years of being in the planner community tough, supporting all the wonderful shops that I admired to be like. During this last year I canceled subscription boxes, I sold on my Mercari 60% of all the planner supplies that I had accumulated over that time. And I still have a lot. In general everyday life, I am a natural minimalist. I only really like to have what I need, but do get caught up in the newness and joy of the things I like, but then I naturally reset, and this is that.
Now as far as physical products I really did enjoy filling and packing orders, but physically making things, not my favorite, but designing LOVE!!!!. Also the process of sourcing products trying to find whats fits youyr vision at a fair price and maybe ethically sourced, but how do you even know. Then storing the product, I don't have a lot of space, and I like it that way. It just really started to weigh on my soul, where was all these resources for all these products were really coming from? And in addition to that, I used to be a professional organizer, I've helped so many people clear clutter, I know what all this does to people. Making more physical products just really started to not align with my core beliefs.
Like I said the thing I love most is designing! Creating things for myself, creating things in a style I wanted to see. One day I watched a couple tutorials and started building a digital planner from scratch, just for fun. And I loved what I made. One day I was self redflecting, meditating and thinking about my business next steps and realized it could all be so simple (kudos if you got the reference). I have a lot of designs, and with out announcing I transitioned most of the sticker listings to printables, and uploaded some printable deco downloads. Also learned how to use A.I. to generate are and created a digital sticker pack that I love.
On Black Friday I will drop my first of many digital planners. A 2024 Simple Dated Planner, Year at a Glance, Monthly and Weekly Pages, all hyperlinked, and an undated version. I say simple because this planner is upload and go, intentionally a simple planner, you can keep minimalist or decorate it up . It can be used in any software where you can annotate PDFs.
